Dermal Fillers: Learn the Different treatment and know what best for you

dermal fillers, Dermal Fillers: Learn the Different treatment and know what best for you

What are Restylane injections?

Restylane Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in all species that is highly attracted to water with an ability to bind to it. In this way, it fills the wrinkles or lips by attracting water to the site and allowing for a soft, supple correction that looks very natural. Most patients appreciate its long-lasting effects, with many experiencing 8 months to a year of correction from a single dermal fillers treatment.

Additionally, it has a very low side effect profile. In our experience, a very small percentage of patients will develop bruising or swelling at the restylane filler treatment site lasting beyond 24 hours. The majority of people treated are thrilled with the results and appreciate the immediate return to their busy schedule. There have been a few reports of hypersensitivity reactions, but because it is so unlikely, the FDA does not require skin testing of patients.

Juvederm

Juvederm is an injectable dermal fillers that can improve the appearance of deep facial wrinkles, folds, lines, and acne scars, enhance the lips, and contour facial features like the chin and cheeks. Juvederm is made of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in all species which is highly attracted to water and has the ability to bind to it. The results are very natural and long-lasting, with the effect remaining for six months or longer. Dr. Sule performs the Juvederm injection in his office.

Depending on the area being treated, the procedure can take as little as five minutes to as much as thirty minutes to complete. A topical anesthetic, local anesthetic, or nerve block may first be administered for the patient’s comfort before injecting Juvederm directly into the skin with a very fine needle.

Juvederm has very few side effects. Some patients may experience redness or swelling at the injection site which can last for a few days. Nevertheless, work and other normal activities can be resumed right after treatment. Juvederm is a safe and effective injectable that can be used for all skin types and colors and does not require prior testing.

Radiesse

Radiesse is an injectable dermal fillers that can be used to fill in lines and wrinkles and reshape the facial contours. Radiesse can improve the appearance of a variety of wrinkles, including nasolabial folds and marionette lines, and it can augment the cheeks, chin, and jaw line. Radiesse is the first synthetic calcium hydroxylapatite injectable cohesive implant used for soft tissue augmentation.

Over the last seven years, Radiesse has proven to be safe and effective, with results lasting from 1 – 3 years. Since Radiesse consists of materials similar to those found in the body, it is very biocompatible, and does not require allergy testing. This unique injectable stimulates collagen growth, providing an initial plumping along with extended correction for one to two years as the new tissue regenerates. Individuals interested in improving the signs of facial aging may be good candidates for Radiesse.

Dr. Sule Double Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Sule performs the Radiesse injection in his office, a process that may take fifteen to forty minutes to complete. A local or topical anesthetic may be administered for the patient’s comfort before injecting the Radiesse beneath the skin using a very fine needle. Radiesse is associated with few side effects, though mild swelling or redness may occur during the first day or two for some patients. Work and other normal activities can be resumed right after treatment.

HydrelleHydrelle is another hyaluronic acid (HA) that contains lidocaine. Much like, Juvederm and Restylane, Hydrelle is a alternative to filling facial wrinkles , folds, lines, and acne scars.
