Are you a Dallas resident who is considering facial plastic surgery? If there is something that bothers you about your face, whether it be aging or some other factor, there is likely a procedure that can help to enhance your appearance and boost your self-esteem. But before considering any type of facial plastic surgery, you should carefully weigh your options and get some good information to get you started. Our team at Sule Facial Plastic Surgery Clinic wants to help you every step of the way.

Rhinoplasty

Popularly known as a nose job, the rhinoplasty procedure can help to enhance the function or appearance of the nose, or both. It can enhance the proportions of your nose or correct structural defects that cause difficulty breathing, or other problems.

Rhinoplasty procedures are commonly used to treat nose size relative to facial balance, width of the nose at the bridge, position and size of nostrils, and visible depressions or humps on the bridge of the nose. Other popular applications of rhinoplasty are for correcting nasal asymmetry, treating wide, large, or upturned nostrils, and treating a bulbous or enlarged nasal tip.

Performing nose surgery with the goal of improving an obstructed airway necessitates a good examination of the nasal structure relative to breathing and airflow. One of the most common reasons for undergoing rhinoplasty is correcting a deviated septum. This can be accomplished by adjusting nasal structure alignment.

Chin Augmentation Procedure

A well-proportioned chin is one of the hallmarks of an attractive, youthful face. Some people have a chin that is either too prominent or not prominent enough. Chin augmentation helps to address these issues.

Chin augmentation may involve the insertion of an implant or the adjustment of the bone, depending on the patient’s needs. The procedure is carried out using specialized techniques and is totally customized. Chin augmentation procedures immediately create a more refreshed appearance and help you appear more youthful overall with a more attractive profile.

Good Candidates

You may make a good candidate for facial plastic surgery if you are healthy, understand the details of the procedure, and have reasonable expectations regarding the outcomes. Those who are not suitable for facial plastic surgery include those with serious health disorders.

If you are interested in pursuing facial plastic surgery in the Dallas area, talk to our team at Sule Facial Plastic Surgery Clinic in Dallas. Contact us today to book your consultation and get started!

Modern surgical procedures can truly make a positive difference in your appearance. Skin repositioning has become quite an art form, and the results of skin tightening via ablation and redraping of the skin last for years. Various cosmetic skin-smoothing techniques are in use today, and below we’ll describe some of them in detail. A facial cosmetic surgeon can map the facial features, design a customized procedure, and take years off your appearance.

Our Dallas location is easily accessible, and we invite you to contact us to schedule a one-on-one consultation so that we can discuss your facial skin concerns. We are skilled skin surgeons and are ready to help you achieve the more youthful appearance you desire. Our lift procedures include facial skin tightening, neck skin smoothing, correction of eyelid droop, and forehead skin smoothing.

Who Are Our Clientele?

Most individuals who consider surgical skin correction from a cosmetic surgeon are in their mid-40s or older. They have been somewhat successful in keeping their skin smooth and supple via simple, non-invasive procedures. Eventually, however, their facial skin, neck skin, or eyelids begin to show visible signs of aging. Fat buildup beneath the skin layers, weakening of muscle tissue, and environmental factors all play a role in the development of wrinkles, creases, folds, and skin brittleness.

A more permanent solution is now the desire of these individuals. They want to regain the smooth, taut, and wrinkle-free skin they enjoyed when they were younger. Cosmetic skin surgery can accomplish just that, and the results nearly always meet or exceed the expectations of the client.

If you’re concerned about the increasing prominence of facial wrinkles, folds, and creases, or if you’ve had enough of that tired look brought about by drooping and sagging eyelids, a cosmetic surgeon in Dallas is the right person to visit.

Types of Cosmetic Skin Surgeries

A facial cosmetic surgeon has plenty of tools with which to work. Achieving a smoother, wrinkle-free skin surface is easier than you might think.

A facelift, also known as a rhytidectomy, corrects skin sag and wrinkling on the lower one-half of the face. Jowls that form from fat buildup along the jawline can be eliminated, and nasolabial folds can be made far less prominent. A facelift also smoothes away non-set wrinkles on the cheeks. The surgery is customized per individual, meaning that the procedure is designed to create a more pleasing overall appearance based on the current shape of the face and the bone structure of the front of the skull.

A neck lift corrects wrinkling and banding on the upper one-half of the neck. The procedure is similar to a facelift, but the incisions are made in areas lower than the ears. A neck lift won’t eliminate extensive fat buildup that causes a turkey wattle, but the procedure can be combined with localized liposuction or other means of fat removal.

An eyelid lift, also known as blepharoplasty, corrects sagging and drooping of the upper and lower eyelids. It helps bring about a more attentive, healthy appearance to the eyes, and for that matter, the entire face.

A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, raises the skin on the forehead. This eliminates horizontal banding and creases, and it also raises the level of the eyebrows for a more youthful, attentive posture.

Performing a Facelift

When we consult with you, we will examine your facial skin in detail. We’ll note the skin thickness and the degree to which folds and creases are changing the contours of the skin surface. We’ll design a surgical procedure and set a date for the surgery.

We administer a general sedative before making incisions. A traditional facelift is performed by making a long cut that starts near the base of the ear and extending up to and across the frontal hairline. We then lift the skin away from the subcutaneous tissues and use special instruments to remove or reposition fat and muscle tissue. We then drape the skin back into place and pull it upward to meet the incision line.

There will now be a small overlap because the skin has been tightened. We cut away this strip and close the incision with staples, sutures, or skin glue. We can perform this procedure on both sides of the face in about two or three hours.

Recovery is quite swift. The client wears bandages for a week or so and must change them daily. Sutures, if not of the dissolving kind, are removed about 10 days later during a follow-up visit.

The results are quite dramatic. The contours are more pleasing, most of the wrinkling has been eliminated, and banding is gone. Results of a facelift can last for up to eight years or more.

Neck Lift Surgery

A facial cosmetic surgeon performs a neck lift in much the same way as a facelift procedure. The incision is made below the ear and extends around behind it. When we consult with the client who desires smoother, wrinkle-free neck skin, we design the procedure based on the current appearance of the skin and how loose it is.

The skin is pulled upward toward the incision line. This smoothes away wrinkles on the upper portion of the neck. It also raises the skin near the jawline and lessens the degree of folding along the jaw. We can insert special tools through the cut to reposition fat or muscle tissue. Recovery from a neck lift procedure takes about 10 days, but the at-home care the client performs daily is very simple. It’s mostly just cleaning the skin and replacing bandages. Both facelift and neck lift procedures require the taking of antibiotics during the recovery period.

Eyelid Lift (Blepharoplasty)

This is a specialized cosmetic procedure designed to improve the appearance of the lid skin. The upper lid can sag or appear puffy because of fat buildup or a weakening of the muscles that control blinking. The lower lid can also sag, and this lowers the position of the lashes, makes the area look dark and menacing via a shadowing effect, and can result in too much of the eyeball white becoming visible.

To correct sagging of the upper eyelid, the cosmetic surgeon makes two cuts that are nearly parallel to one another but meet on either end. This strip of eyelid skin is removed. Some fat is dug out using a tiny scalpel instrument. The skin is then pulled upward to meet the incision line. This smoothes the surface and also raises the level of the lashes just a bit. The incision is closed with skin glue.

The lower lid is treated by making a single cut just beneath the lash line. Fat is removed, the skin is pulled upward, a strip of it is removed, and the incision closed. The incision will scar a bit as it heals, but this scar line won’t be visible because the cut is made along the natural crease line.

In some cases, the facial cosmetic surgeon will choose to perform a transconjunctival procedure. The incision is made on the inside of the eyelid. This is the method preferred if only localized pockets of fat need to be removed from beneath the lid skin.

Recovery from blepharoplasty takes about 10 days. The client wears bandages and changes them daily. Special eye drops are prescribed. The final result of this surgery is an attentive, youthful look, and the result can last for more than five years.

Brow Lift Procedure

This is performed to correct sagging and banding of the forehead skin. It’s much like a facelift procedure. A cut is made along or just behind the frontal hairline. The skin is pulled away at the incision line, and a special tool is used to remove fat and reposition muscle tissue.

The skin is then pulled upward to the incision line, the excess strip is cut away, and the incision closed with sutures or skin glue. The result is smoother skin on the forehead and an elimination of horizontal wrinkling. The brows are also lifted, and this helps to create a more attentive, healthy posture.

Specialized Cosmetic Facial Procedures

During the consultation and examination, we may suggest combining two of these treatments. For example, the entire face may need smoothing, and the eyes may need attention as well. We can perform a facelift and an eyelid lift as a single procedure. We can also address localized wrinkling or creasing of the facial skin by performing what is known as a minilift or limited incision lift. We make a couple of smaller incisions near the front of the ear and use a camera scope and scalpels to get at the fat and muscle tissue. This is a popular alternative to a traditional facelift and requires a much shorter period for recovery afterwards.

The facial cosmetic surgeon often recommends combining skin ablation and repositioning with the use of dermal fillers. Small areas of the skin surface may look better if they are plumped a bit, and this is what filler gels can accomplish. During the consultation, we will suggest this type of treatment in addition to the surgical procedure if we feel it will benefit the client.

Some Important Information

Having realistic goals will help you decide if one of these procedures is the right choice for the improvement of your skin’s appearance. Remember that these are cosmetic surgical procedures, and they don’t treat medical conditions. However, when you see the before-and-after photos of some of our clients, you’ll get a good feel for what a facelift or other skin lifting procedure can accomplish and what cannot be achieved.

You’ll have to prepare for the surgical procedure by taking care of your skin in the days leading up to the surgery and abstaining from certain medications. When we schedule a date for surgery, we’ll give you an information packet that describes the steps you need to take. You’ll be under the effects of the anesthetics after surgery, so you can’t drive yourself home. You won’t be able to expose the skin to direct sunlight during the healing process. It takes a while for the skin to bond once more to the subcutaneous tissues. The information packet will describe just how to take the proper steps for ensuring a successful outcome to the surgery.

Advancements in facial cosmetic surgery have made these procedures simpler to perform than in past decades, and we now have lots of options available in terms of fitting the skin back onto the subdermal tissues and tightening the areas where the skin is loose. You can expect a customized treatment that will bring about the best possible results.

A facelift is a surgical procedure that tightens and smooths the facial skin. Drooping or sagging skin that is subject to wrinkling often becomes apparent once the individual reached a certain age. Properly performed, a traditional or mini facelift can produce excellent results that last for up to a decade. These days, modern techniques and advanced procedures in Dallas can effectively smooth the skin on the upper and lower portions of the face using specialized techniques.

We serve the entire Dallas area and will be happy to discuss the various facelift procedures with you during a consultation. The traditional facelift is still the preferred treatment for large areas of folding, creasing, or sagging, but the mini option is a simpler, less invasive procedure that can help smooth away wrinkle lines on the cheeks. The procedures differ slightly, and these differences will be discussed below.

Good Candidates

The individual should be in overall good health and have no severe skin conditions that could affect the outcome of the procedure. A positive attitude and realistic outcome expectations are important. This type of surgical procedure involves the use of sedatives, and certain medications need to be avoided in the weeks leading up to the treatment.

A traditional facelift will ease away wrinkling and creasing on the upper half of the face. Suitable candidates include those with sagging skin along the jawline, drooping along the corners of the mouth, and shadowy folds between the cheeks and the upper lips.

A mini facelift is designed to pull the skin upward and toward the posterior hairline. Those individuals whose main concern is wrinkling on the cheeks are excellent candidates for this procedure.

Traditional vs. Mini Lift

A traditional facelift is a relatively straightforward procedure. Well before this surgery is performed, the entire facial structure is examined in detail. Everyone’s muscle and bone structure is different, and the surgical design is based on the individual’s muscle size, strength, bone shape, and skin thickness.

A mini facelift is performed while keeping these same considerations in mind, and sometimes, a single incision is all that’s necessary to smooth the skin on the upper half of one side of the face. Less tissue is removed or repositioned as opposed to a traditional lift. However, a limited incision lift will not correct lower facial sagging such as folding along the jawline.

A Closer Look at the Traditional Procedure

A traditional facelift procedure begins with the administering of a sedative. The surgeon begins to pull the skin away from the subcutaneous tissues. The skin layers are raised upward so that fatty tissue and some muscle can be repositioned or removed. Special tools are used to loosen and remove fat and muscle. Excess skin can be removed. When all is said and done, fine lines are gone, and the folds and creases have also been eliminated. It takes some time and proper healing for the skin to bond permanently to the subcutaneous tissues once more.

The Mini Facelift Procedure

A mini lift is designed to correct more localized problems such as fine lines on the cheeks. As with a traditional lift, the procedure begins with the administering of a sedative. Unlike a traditional facelift procedure, however, the skin generally isn’t pulled away from the underlying tissues. Instead, a special tools are inserted into the incision. Several areas will need to have fat and muscle removed or repositioned. The skin is pulled upward and outward toward the incision line, the excess strip is removed, and the incision closed.

Generally speaking, this is a less involved procedure than a traditional facelift. It smooths away lines on the cheeks and brings about a more youthful, healthy contour to the surface. Recovery is also typically swifter than what is expected after a traditional surgery.

This option is becoming more and more popular with those individuals who feel that skin-smoothing is the main goal. It doesn’t eliminate large folds or creases, but many adults aren’t yet experiencing these problems.

What to Expect

During the initial consultation in Dallas, we will review the client’s medical history. We will check the medications being taken and advise which of these prescriptions should be modified in terms of dosage or active ingredients. Certain painkillers can cause unnecessary complications, so we will inform the client about which products should be avoided in the weeks leading up to the surgery.

After we have assessed the facial features, we will design a customized treatment based on the amount of loose skin, sagging, and creasing that needs to be corrected. We will inform the client whether a traditional or a mini lift is the best procedure for bringing about the desired results.

We can then schedule a date for surgery and give the client information that details proper skin care and other things in the days leading up to treatment. The client will have to have someone else on hand because the sedatives will prohibit driving home afterwards.

After the surgery is complete, the recovery period can begin. Normal activities can be resumed shortly as directed. This may be especially true if a mini lift has been performed. As previously stated, the skin will bond once more to the subdermal tissues in time.

Long-Term Benefits

Many of the skin rejuvenation treatment options in Dallas produce short-term results, and they need to be repeated at regular intervals. That’s fine for a while, but most of our clients come to us for advice about surgery because they knew that eventually they would desire something more permanent in terms of a fix.

A facelift, whether it be a traditional one or a mini lift, can produce results that last for many years. The procedure not only corrects sagging and drooping of the skin but also positively changes the overall facial contours for the better. Indeed, years can be taken off one’s appearance via this surgical procedure. However, it’s important to note that results vary.

Of course, the biggest benefit of a lift procedure is the elevated self-confidence that comes with the positive results. There’s nothing like a greater level of self-esteem when the facial features appear younger and healthier. After all, the whole idea of the surgery is to produce a positive cosmetic fix, and nothing accomplishes this better than a traditional or mini lift.

Combined with Other Treatments

During the consultation at our office in Dallas, the client may express concerns that cannot be addressed via this procedure alone. These problems could include sagging and wrinkling of the neck skin, sagging eyelids, and other issues. These problems can be fixed with other lift procedures or a completely different treatment.

If a traditional lift is performed, it will smooth skin as far down as the jawline, but a neck lift may be necessary to erase neck banding. This procedure is similar to a facelift in that the skin is pulled upward, and this eliminates wrinkling on the upper one-half of the neck. However, some additional procedures on the neck may also be required. In some cases, liposuction may be a good option for addressing problems with neck banding and neck skin folding because of the amount of fat that needs to be removed.

If a mini lift is performed but the client also wished to have the eyelids raised, blepharoplasty can be a good option. This is a sort of lift procedure that is performed on a much smaller scale. If horizontal banding on the forehead is a problem, it can be corrected at the same time a facelift is performed.

We will inform the client of all of their options during a consultation. The choice of procedures depends on the wishes of the client as well as the ability for us to reposition the skin to a certain degree.

An Important Reminder

A facelift, whether a traditional lift or a mini lift, isn’t going to completely change one’s appearance. The causes of sagging and drooping skin are usually fat buildup, a decrease in the amount of collagen and other proteins in the skin, and moisture imbalance. The surgeries described here will help improve the overall facial contours, but the skin health needs to be maintained by the client.

We can offer suggestions for this as well. Depending on the cause of skin wrinkling and sagging, we may suggest alternative treatments in combination with a lift procedure, or we may offer advice about skin rejuvenation treatments that should be considered after the surgery has been performed.

Having a positive attitude is the most important thing to remember. A facelift isn’t some sort of fountain of youth miracle, but it can dramatically change your outlook on life so long as you enjoy the positive results without being overly confident in how it will affect your personality. The procedure will not change your personality at all. It can, however, give you the self-confidence you’ve been lacking as soon as you realized you were looking older than you really are.

The eyes are the first thing people see when they meet you or when they want to know how you are feeling. The appearance of your eyes can make you look sad, angry or older than you are, even when none of these things may be true. As a person ages, the skin loses elasticity, which means for the eyes, the area around them may wrinkle and the upper and lower eyelid may sag or bulge. Eyelid surgery, also called blepharoplasty, may be the answer if your eyes make you look older than you are or impede your vision.

As your skin loses elasticity, it is less able to resist the pull of gravity. The loose skin gathers on the upper eyelids and under the lower eyelids. On the upper eyelids, the excess skin may eventually hang over your eye, reducing your scope of vision. You may even start tilting your head back without realizing it to get a better view. Under the lower eyelids, the skin sags, causing wrinkles, and fat may accumulate, creating under-eye bags, puffiness or bulges. We recommend eyelid surgery for this and other issues connected with the eyelids because there is no cream or lotion that can remedy this problem. Rest and a good night’s sleep may make you feel fresh, but if your eyelids are sagging, it won’t make you look fresh. Eyelid surgery may help restore your youthful appearance and your vision, which will increase your self-confidence.

What is Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)?

Blepharoplasty, also called an eye lift, is a surgical procedure to remove the hanging excess skin above and below the eyes. It may also involve removing or repositioning fat. In 2016, eyelid surgery was the fourth most popular cosmetic procedure in the US according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). The main reason eyelid surgery is so popular it that it improves the shape and contour of the eyes and greatly improves the person’s appearance. It is also very useful for older people whose sight is impaired by hanging skin.

The incision for the upper eyelid can be done in the natural fold of the eyelid. For the lower eyelids, the incision may be just beneath the lower lash line. If excess fat is to be removed, the incision for the lower eyelid may be just inside the eyelid.

Our surgeon may use a variety of tools and techniques to remove excess tissue. At this time, fat may be removed or repositioned depending on the results you want. The incisions will be closed with tiny, self-dissolving sutures or tissue adhesive. For cosmetic purposes, to make the area around the eyes look smooth, we may use additional techniques to resurface the skin and help reduce any side effects. For those who suffer from dry eye, less tissue may be removed so less of the eye is exposed to the air, which may worsen the symptoms.

There are several options for lower eyelid surgery. The most common method for lower eyelid surgery is as mentioned above. Another option is the transconjunctival approach, which is very effective for removing under-eye bags and swelling. The incision is inside the eyelid, and fat can be removed, but this is not the method for removing excess skin.

A less involved blepharoplasty procedure can be effective if only a tiny portion of skin needs to be removed. This method may be used if your lower eyelids are strong and you only need a little bit of skin removed. A non-surgical option may be selected as an alternative to surgery in some cases. It all depends on the unique situation.

What to Expect

Once it is decided that you will have eyelid surgery on the lower, upper or both eyelids, the surgeon will examine the underlying facial muscles, the symmetry of your eyebrows, the elasticity of your skin and the underlying bone structure. You may look in a mirror and show the surgeon the things you would like changed. Once you and the surgeon know what to expect, you may be shown a computer image of your face to see the improvements you can expect. You can be sure that a customized procedure will be planned for you.

Who is a Good Candidate for Eyelid Surgery?

The best way to know if eyelid surgery is a good option for you is to have a consultation with our surgeon in Dallas. If you have any of the following issues, it’s best to have your eyelids checked:

Sagging, loose skin on the upper eyelids that changes the natural appearance of the eye and may impair vision

Under-eye bags

Deposits of fat in the upper eyelids that look puffy

A lower eyelid that droops to reveal the white of the eye below the iris

Fine wrinkles under the lower eyelid

Unable to wear contact lenses because of the sagging lower eyelid

To be a good candidate for eyelid surgery, you must have overall good health and not have a chronic medical condition that may inhibit tissue healing. Smoking inhibits tissue healing, and if you are a smoker, you may take this opportunity to quit. If you can’t do that, you must stop for a set amount of time before and after the procedure. Our specialist will help you have realistic expectations about the outcome of surgery for your particular case. You may be asked about your motivation for having the surgery. The important thing is your motivation must be because you want the surgery and not because you are being pressured by someone else to improve your appearance. You must have a positive outlook and realistic expectations to be satisfied with the results. If you have a serious eye condition, you may not be a good candidate for eyelid surgery unless it can be cured first. Other information to give our specialist during your consultation is:

If you have allergies to any drugs

If you have had any previous eye problems such as glaucoma, eye-related allergies or dry eyes

If you have diabetes, thyroid problems, circulatory problems or other chronic diseases

If you are taking any prescription medication including dietary supplements, recreational drugs or alcohol

If you had any previous surgeries

Once it has been determined that you are a good candidate for eyelid surgery, we may discuss the options available to you and recommend a course of treatment, discuss the type of anesthesia you prefer and take photographs of your eyes from different angles. These photographs will help the surgeon plan the surgery and determine both the immediate and long-term results.

How to Prepare for Eyelid Surgery

Our surgeon will give you detailed instructions for the surgery. You must not take any nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories such as aspirin or ibuprofen or any anti-coagulant in the days before the date of surgery.

On the day of the surgery, you may be given medication to help you feel comfortable during the procedure. Depending on the number of procedures being done, the surgery usually takes from one to two hours to complete.

You will be connected to several monitors during the surgery for your safety to check your blood pressure, heart, pulse and how much oxygen is in your blood. When the surgery is complete, you will be taken to a recovery room, where you will continue to be closely monitored. The surgery is an outpatient procedure, which means you can go home to recuperate on the same day as the surgery. You will need someone to drive you home after the surgery.

Aftercare

You must strictly follow our specialist’s instructions for aftercare. This may include instructions about bandages, antibiotics, medication and the level of activity that is safe. We recommend that you do not go to work or do any other regular daily activities for a set amount of time. According to the type and number of surgeries you had, our surgeon will tell you how long to avoid activity. This gives your eyelids a chance to heal.

We will give you detailed instructions on how to take care of your eyes once you are at home. You will need to be aware of the normal symptoms that may develop as well as any signs of potential complications. Immediately after the surgery, you may experience excessive sensitivity to light. Major discomfort is rare, but if you need medication, we may prescribe over-the-counter acetaminophen (Tylenol). You should continue to avoid anti-inflammatories. Here are some general suggestions that may help you once you are at home:

Have an ice pack or freezer bag ready

Have some small gauze pads available

Have eye drops that are prescribed by our surgeon

Keep clean towels nearby

Have Tylenol nearby

You may be asked to apply ointment to keep the area lubricated and to apply eye drops to keep the eyes from becoming dry. Cold compresses may reduce swelling. We may recommend that you use pillows when you sleep to keep your head raised above your chest.

How Long Do the Results Last?

The results of eyelid surgery are designed to last for years. The excess skin on the upper eyelid is removed only once. It is not a surgery that is typically repeated. However, as you age, your eyebrows may drop, causing more excess skin to impair your vision. If this happens, a different surgery may be performed called a brow lift. To get the results you want, we recommend you visit our specialist for a follow-up evaluation.

Learn More

If you have trouble seeing because of sagging skin from your upper eyelid, or if your sagging eyelids make you look sad, angry and older than you are, blepharoplasty may be your best option.

In some people, substantial deposits of fat can form in the neck and chin region. These deposits are resistant to dieting and exercise and can create a double chin and displeasing neck bulges and folds. Because these fat deposits generally form in response to genetics, they are almost impossible to remove by non-surgical methods. Neck liposuction is a minimally invasive procedure available in Dallas that can precisely target neck fat and quickly make individuals look younger and trimmer.

Liposuction

Liposuction is one of the most popular cosmetic surgery procedures. In this procedure, tiny openings are made in the area to be treated and after infusing the area with anesthetic, a cannula is inserted and fat is vacuumed out of the targeted area. For neck liposuction, a tiny opening is usually made just under the chin and sometimes one behind each of the ears. Since there are no key blood vessels in the fat layer under the skin, there is no risk of damaging anything important during neck liposuction, and no visible scars will form. For individuals with excess loose neck skin, better aesthetic results can be achieved if a neck lift is performed at the same time as neck liposuction produce a trim, tight, more youthful look. If desired, a chin augmentation can easily be added on to the procedure. Neck liposuction in Dallas can usually be performed under sedation with a local anesthetic and takes less than an hour, although if additional procedures are performed, sometimes general anesthesia is necessary and of course it will take longer to complete.

Recovery

Patients can return to their normal routine within a week; makeup to hide any bruising can be applied if desired. After the swelling subsides, the results will immediately become apparent: a more youthful, elegant, and slimmer look to the neck and chin area. The skin will continue to tighten over the next few weeks to further improve the results. Because the fat cells are permanently removed via liposuction, the fat deposits in the neck are very unlikely to recur, even if the patient gains weight elsewhere in the body.

If you are unhappy with the way your neck looks or you have developed a double chin that will not respond to diet and exercise, feel free to reach out and make an appointment with Sule Plastic Surgery Center. At our convenient location in Dallas, TX, our friendly and experienced staff will be pleased to explain the particulars of neck liposuction and help you achieve your ideal aesthetic. Contact us today to set up your consultation – we look forward to speaking with you!

People in Dallas are not that different from the rest of the country when it comes to the need for safe and effective anti-aging solutions for their skin. Getting older leads to an inevitable breakdown in collagen and elastin. Since these two important substances create facial skin volume and elasticity, their deficiency leads to skin that eventually sags and develops wrinkles. Fortunately, a treatment with Juvederm® in Dallas can help to turn back the clock on skin affected by lines and wrinkles.

Juvederm® Injections

Juvederm® is a family of injectable facial fillers that can promote increased skin volume to fill in hollow areas and lines and wrinkles. It contains hyaluronic acid as its active ingredient. We may apply a topical anesthetic before treatment to ensure that you will obtain good results in a safe and comfortable environment.

Hyaluronic Hydration

The active ingredient in Juvederm®, hyaluronic acid, is responsible for attracting moisture into youthful skin. The aging process leads to a decline in both the quantity and quality of hyaluronic acid, further leading to the development of dry skin that is more susceptible to the development of fine lines and wrinkles that leave you looking older than your actual age.

How Juvederm® Works

Juvederm® works by restoring your normal hyaluronic acid levels. This helps to partially reverse the process that led to the formation of lines and wrinkles. Your skin will drink in the hyaluronic acid and become better hydrated and thicker. You should notice an immediate improvement in your aging skin and a consequent reduction in fine lines and wrinkles.

Benefits

This product is designed to be injected into the middle to deep dermis layer of your skin to correct moderate to severe facial lines, wrinkles, and creases. It helps to fill in skin folds running from the bottom of the nose to the mouth corners. It can also be used for the reduction of marionette lines and to augment thinning or aging lips.

Juvederm® remains a reliable hyaluronic acid injectable that has been found to offer long-lasting results, depending on your body’s metabolism and where it is injected. The special manufacturing process helps to create highly concentrated cross-linked hyaluronic acid that offers lengthy results. The smooth consistency of the gel makes it extremely easy to work with, as it flows gently under your skin to offer a very natural and smooth appearance.

Schedule Your Treatment

If you are a Dallas area resident would like to find out more about Juvederm®, or wish to schedule an appointment, please consider Sule Facial Plastic Surgery Clinic. Contact us today to schedule your consultation!

When your face is aging, you can visit a cosmetic surgeon in Dallas to have surgery to correct a variety of problems. A few cosmetic surgery options are functional in nature as well, which is something you can discuss with our plastic surgeon. If you have been looking for a way to address a cosmetic issue on your face, facial surgery may be a good option for you. There are minor and major facial cosmetic surgery options that include:

• Eliminating the bags under the eyes
• Repairing the hollows in the cheeks
• Fixing your drooping eyelids
• Reducing the wrinkles on the forehead
• Eliminating the marionette lines around the lips
• Augmenting your thin lips
• Changing the size or shape of the nose
• Reducing your acne scars
• Changing the shape or size of the chin
• Lifting the brow area of the face

Visit a Cosmetic Surgeon to Learn More About Having Facial Surgery

You may want to have cosmetic surgery on your face to improve your self-esteem because you are looking older. Alternatively, fixing drooping eyelids can improve your vision, making daily living easier. In addition, if you have had an injury to your nose in the past, then repairing it can improve your breathing along with improving your appearance. Some types of cosmetic surgery can eliminate the scars from blemishes or the scars from a previous injury.

The primary reason for having cosmetic surgery is to improve the appearance of the face, but the procedures can also improve the functions of a facial feature. To determine if you are a candidate for a particular type of facial cosmetic surgery in Dallas, then you should have a complete examination with X-rays. A cosmetic surgeon has an understanding of facial anatomy, including its underlying structures.

Plan Your Recovery from Cosmetic Surgery

Depending on the type of procedure you undergo, you recovery may be extensive or it may only last a few days. At your consultation at Sule Plastic Surgery, we will help you adequately prepare for whatever surgery you choose. After we have determined your candidacy we will provide you with all the information you need.

We also offer non-surgical treatments such as dermal fillers, ultherapy, and many others. These require little to no downtime, so they are a great alternative for patients looking for anti-aging treatments who do not want to go through the recovery period of surgical procedures. We are conveniently located in Dallas, TX. Contact us today to schedule your cosmetic surgery consultation!
