Healing After Blepharoplasty in Dallas

Struggling with bags under your eyes? These unsightly swollen areas, created by sagging fat, do not have to bug you anymore – you can get eyelid surgery to rejuvenate your appearance. The procedure is a fairly quick and painless process with very little downtime.

The surgery involves tightening loose sagging skin on the eyelids that changes their natural contours. Bags under the eyes and drooping lower eyelids that expose the whites of the eyes may also be tightened.

During the blepharoplasty healing phase, cool compresses are a nice tool to help minimize bruising and swelling around the eyes and face.

Small, narrow bandages are placed over the incisions and discarded after a few days. The sutures (if not of the self-absorbing variety) can remain in place for another week or so. Patients should be able to partake in normal activities in about seven to ten days after surgery.

Please feel free to contact us at our Dallas office for a consultation. Board-certified facial plastic surgeon Dr. Sandy Sule will examine your eyelids and will listen closely to your preferences in order to make the perfect recommendations.
