A neck lift is a fairly simple neck tightening procedure intended to improve the overall appearance of the neck and jawline areas. It does so by tightening skin and muscles while removing excess fat. In just a few hours, a neck lift can create the youthful contours that you’ve always wanted.
To perform a neck tightening procedure, a small incision is made under the chin and just below the ear. If the muscles need tightening, this would be the time for the surgeon to perform that technique using internal sutures.
All excess skin is removed, and the remaining skin is tightened to look smoother and firmer. This is typically considered an outpatient procedure, so the patient will be discharged that same day.
