Liquid Lift and Man Lift: Know if this procedure is for you or not?

As we age, the face begins to lose collagen and elastin, which contribute to sagging facial features. The loss of facial volume and elasticity also leads to the formation of wrinkles, lines and folds. However, instead of focusing on wrinkle filling, a new paradigm has been implemented by Dr. Sule to focus on lifting and contouring the face, with the ancillary benefit of wrinkle reduction (rather than directly injecting the filler into a wrinkle or rhytid). This approach has spawned a somewhat revolutionary new approach in treating sagging facial features, which is called a Liquid Face Lift or non-invasive Facial Rejuvenation.

In broad terms, a non-surgical Liquid Face Lift (Liquid Lift) can be undertaken to accomplish any of the following:

In some patients the goal of a non- surgical Liquid Lift procedure is to lift the entire face. In others, the goal is to lift or contour specific facial features. Liquid Lift products and procedures may be used to accomplish a number of objectives when it comes to facial contouring and lifting.

For example, under eye bags and dark circles can be masked by using Liquid Facelift techniques; eyes can be opened up and lids lifted; jowls can be lifted and diminished; natural shape can be restored to flattened cheeks or temple areas; corners of the mouth can be lifted; bumps on the nose can be hidden; as well as several other facial feature benefits. Dr. Sule will be happy to discuss your individual needs and how best to achieve them.

Man Lift™

A unique sub-type of Liquid Lift developed by Dr. Sule involves helping men. This procedure called The Man Lift™ uses the same concept as a Liquid Lift, but emphasizes the unique facial features of men to create a more youthful appearance for a man without feminizing his look. The Man Lift utilizes different types of filler materials and involves creating the coveted, male model chiseled appearance; the more angular jawline, stronger cheekbones, and stronger chin while simultaneously achieving a more youthful look by removing lines and wrinkles.

Is a Liquid Lift or Man Lift™ for Me?

Liquid lift procedures have been making a noticeable impact in aesthetic medicine during the past few years. A liquidlift can help many individuals who are concerned with any one of a variety of issues, as well as providing an alternative for a traditional surgical face lift in a number of instances.

Perhaps you are considering cosmetic surgery. A liquid lift is typically more subtle than surgery. An increasing number of individuals are trying liquidlift procedures before traditional face lift procedures.

Maybe you are considering sticking with lotions and other skin care products. As compared with the potential for a liquidlift, over-the-counter creams, ointments and other remedies rarely provide any meaningful lift, volume or contouring of facial features. Skin care products treat the skin from the outside and liquid lift products treat the skin from the inside. The right mix of treatment regimens can be very complementary to maintain natural facial contours for a lifetime.

However, a liquid lift is not for everyone. Patients who have medical histories with hypersensitivity to medicines or foreign objects, certain types of cardiovascular disease, neuromuscular disorders, or other severe health issues may not be candidates. A liquid lift procedure may not provide the type of dramatic improvement that some individuals need or desire. For those individuals, plastic surgery is recommended.

Another thing to consider is that most liquid lift procedures do not provide permanent results, so an individual will need to have periodic touch up treatments over time to maintain the desired outcome. That said, if an individual maintains results with touch up treatments before the products have completely dissipated from the body, then over time the patient may need far less product and experience gradually longer intervals between touch up treatments.
